The Creators

Steven and Teresa began working on the songs for Possessed in 2003. Neither of us had worked on a full scale musical before but somehow this didn’t seem to matter, the story and the imagery within it, were so strong, that the songs grew naturally out of it.

Collaboration of this kind is rare and precious - when a lyricist hears a piece of music and the words seem to flow immediately – when a musician hears words and knows exactly how to put them to music - you know that something creatively magical is happening.

The music is rooted in the melodies of 19th Century and Baroque English Music and folk songs, which we feel typifies the Pre-Raphaelite world.
